As Corporate Legal Counsel I, you will provide strategic legal support and represent the Company in civil, administrative, labor, and criminal cases, helping safeguard the organization’s interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise will help leaders make sound business decisions, manage legal risks, and strengthen governance across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to building a resilient, compliant, and future-ready business environment. What you'll do.. Review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents endorsed by BU’s and CGS teams for issues, including Information Technology (IT)-related agreements, software licensing and maintenance, counterparty /non-2GO templated MSAs, SOWs, manpower and service agreements, NDA’s and all other legal documents. Manage, design, and maintain deep understanding of various 2GO contract templates for use across various BUs and CSG groups, including template MSAs, NDAs, Lease, OJT Agreements, APEX, MAREX, etc. including contracts policy, legal risk and liability, and company position on various matters. Provide support on the legal documentation and legwork on the purchase and sale of vessels Prepare and draft contracts and other legal documents. Prepare, research, draft, finalize and provide legal advice/opinion. Draft letters, correspondences and other documents requiring legal input. Maintain a deep understanding of 2GO contract templates, contracts management policies and procedures, legal risks and liabilities, and the Company’s position on various matters. Ensure compliance with Company policies as well as applicable laws or regulations. Interpret contracts and advise business operations and Finance on contractual responsibilities. Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization. Draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations. Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments, and provide redlined recommendations on contracts. Attend and represent the Company at hearings at any judicial forum or quasi-judicial agency. Attend meetings with BU stakeholders and all other employees requesting legal opinion and legal solution. Educational Background · A Bachelor of Laws (Ll.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D) degree holder · Professional Experience · At least two (2) years relevant work experience as Corporate Lawyer / Counsel Competencies, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities · Critical and analytical thinker, problem solver, articulate and agile · Knowledge and understanding of corporate, contracts, labor, civil and criminal laws and procedures · Sound judgment and ability to spot issues analyze situations · Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills · MS Office Literate · Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing What’s in it for you at 2GO Own enterprise impact.
