About The Role

Here’s the difference you’ll make As a Reefer Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the operational reliability, safety, and efficiency of Reefer Vans and Generator Sets through proper inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. You will support uninterrupted cold chain operations by ensuring all equipment meets company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness. What you’ll do a. Performs Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) of Reefer Vans and Generator Sets and prepares accurate PTI reports. b. Conducts condition surveys (structural and machinery) to assess equipment status and identify repair requirements. c. Performs preventive maintenance activities for Reefer Vans (RV) and Generator Sets (GS) to ensure operational efficiency. d. Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues of Reefer Vans and generator sets and implements appropriate corrective actions. e. Conducts air conditioning system repairs for reefer trucks, including split-type and window-type units. f. Performs minor to moderate repairs such as controller replacement, EFM and CFM, heater, and condenser replacement. g. Conducts evaporator leak testing and vacuum procedures to ensure system integrity. h. Performs welding works (steel and copper) as required for repair and maintenance. i. Prepares repair estimates based on inspection findings and required materials. j. Conducts detailed cleaning of equipment as part of maintenance standards. k. Gathers and downloads operational data (raw data and notes) for monitoring and reporting purposes. l. Maintains accurate documentation and records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. m. Coordinates with relevant teams and stakeholders as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks. n. Handles basic email communication related to maintenance updates, reports, and coordination. o. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
