Plant Mechanic

The role involves working hands-on with rotating equipment—things like pumps, gearboxes, and compressors—handling disassembly and reassembly to repair or replace components like bearings, seals, and gears A big part of the day-to-day is troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining rotating equipment and related mechanical systems, including compressors, pumps, blowers, and valves It also includes installing, repairing, and maintaining high-pressure piping systems, both threaded and welded Preventive and reactive maintenance is a regular part of the role, helping ensure equipment reliability and minimizing downtime Work is managed through a Computerized Maintenance Management System, where maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and executed This includes coordinating parts, completing scheduled tasks, and following through on any required next steps Keeping accurate records is important—ensuring all maintenance activities are properly documented in the system Overall, the role combines technical hands-on work with strong organization and documentation to keep operations running smoothly
