We are seeking a strong Java professional with hands-on project implementation experience who is ready to grow into a Project Lead / Implementation Lead role. You will bridge engineering and client expectations by combining technical depth with delivery ownership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination. Formal project-management experience is desirable but not mandatory; success in this role will depend on strong Java fundamentals, practical implementation exposure, ownership, communication, and the ability to drive teams toward outcomes.

What You Bring

8-10 years of overall experience, with a strong foundation as a Java Tech Lead or Senior Software Engineer.

Hands-on experience implementing enterprise applications or product solutions, with meaningful ownership across stages such as solutioning, development, integration, testing, deployment, go-live, and stabilisation.

Reasonable exposure to delivery ownership, including tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and commitments.

Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, product managers, and senior internal stakeholders.

Demonstrated cross-functional coordination across engineering, QA, DevOps, product, support, client technical teams, and third-party vendors.

A hands-on, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot implementation issues, make practical decisions, and drive closure.

Interest and readiness to progress into a Project Lead / Implementation Lead role. Formal project-management experience or certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Desired Skills

Java & Spring Boot

Strong command of Core Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to read, debug, and review code and guide engineers through implementation issues.

Microservices & APIs

Practical experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, integration contracts, error handling, and non-functional requirements.

Cloud & Data

Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with SQL/NoSQL databases, data mappings, schemas, and database integrations.

Technical Design

Ability to review solution architecture, integration designs, API dependencies, security considerations, and deployment readiness at Tech Lead depth.

Project Implementation

Experience supporting or driving key implementation stages, including planning, environment readiness, integration, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and handover.

Delivery & Governance Exposure

Working knowledge of scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, change requests, status reporting, and acceptance criteria. Deep formal project-management experience is not essential.

Delivery Tooling & Client Exposure

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar tools is preferred. Prior client-facing or international implementation exposure is an advantage.

Drive Project Implementation

Coordinate implementation activities from planning through integration, testing, go-live, and stabilisation, ensuring agreed milestones and quality expectations are met.

Provide Hands-On Technical Leadership

Stay close to Java and Spring Boot components, solution architecture, APIs, integration designs, database schemas, and deployment plans.

Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams

Create clarity across engineering, QA, DevOps, product, security, support, client teams, and vendors by making owners, decisions, and dependencies explicit.

Manage Stakeholders

Build trusted relationships, understand expectations, translate technical details into clear updates, and facilitate timely decisions.

Resolve Implementation Blockers

Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot code, API, data, environment, and cloud-related issues and drive them to closure.

Own Delivery Tracking

Maintain the implementation plan, milestones, RAID items, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and escalation paths.

Manage Scope & Changes

Identify potential scope changes early, assess their delivery impact, and work with relevant stakeholders to agree practical next steps.

Communicate Progress

Provide concise, structured updates on progress, decisions, risks, issues, dependencies, and recovery actions.

Ensure Go-Live & Handover Readiness

Coordinate readiness reviews, production cutover, hypercare, knowledge transfer, and transition to support or customer-success teams.
