About The Role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. NAV Calculation & Trade Processing Compute daily Net Asset Value (NAV) for all funds and reconcile with custodian records. Process and validate trades across asset classes (equity, debt, derivatives). Ensure timely settlement and compliance with regulatory standards. 2. Treasury Operations Provide investible funds to Front Office after considering: Daily UMR/collections Daily interest payments (IP) & redemptions Pay-in/pay-out for ULIP and Non-ULIP funds. Manage banking transactions, branch coordination, banking arrangements, negotiations, and relationship management. Evaluate new banking products and coordinate approvals across departments. Maintain market knowledge on Bonds, G-Secs, and related instruments. Work with systems like CRIBCS, FTRAC, FIMMDA, E-Kuber and liaise with custodians for settlement and compliance. 3. SOP Preparation & Compliance Draft, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for back-office and treasury processes. Conduct periodic reviews and ensure adherence to SOPs. Maintain version control and regulatory compliance. 4. Fund Accounting & Reconciliation Perform reconciliations of holdings, units, and bank accounts. Account for all investments executed by Front Office. Ensure compliance with IRDA requirements for investment functions. Understand new investment types and apply correct valuation and accounting methods. 5. FRA & Derivatives Execute and monitor FRA transactions as per investment strategy. Ensure accurate accounting and valuation of FRA positions. Maintain compliance with IRDA and internal guidelines for derivative instruments. 6. Audit Handling Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Coordinate with auditors and implement recommendations. 7. Reporting & Compliance Generate MIS reports for management and regulators. Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports. Required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Bond and G-Sec securities, market instruments, and associated systems (CRIBCS, FTRAC, FIMMDA, E-Kuber). Prior experience of Treasury, Investments Back office, Investments mid office in Life Insurance or Mutual fund would be preferred. Knowledge of banking transactions, arrangements, negotiations, and relationship management. Familiarity with investment accounting systems (e.g., M-Fund, KORE, SAP, CBV, Prowess, Ace Equity, etc). Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including macros), Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to draft SOPs and drive process automation. Sound understanding of IRDA regulations and compliance requirements.
