Job Description: Business Analyst – System Development (Life Insurance Domain) Focus: Distribution Payouts, Commission, Rewards & Hierarchy Management Position: Business Analyst – Life Insurance Systems Location: Mumbai Experience: 4–8 years in life insurance or related financial services domain Role Overview The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing, designing, and supporting system development projects within the life insurance domain. The primary focus will be on distribution payouts, commission structures, rewards programmes, and hierarchy management, ensuring robust and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyse business requirements related to distribution payouts, commission calculations, rewards, and hierarchy management. Liaise with stakeholders including business users, IT teams, and external partners to translate business needs into functional specifications. Develop and maintain process flows, user stories, and business cases for system enhancements and new features. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and timely delivery of system solutions. Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and root cause analysis for existing and new systems or processes. Support UAT, training, and deployment activities, providing business and technical guidance as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards in all system development activities. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred. Strong understanding of life insurance products and distribution channels. Experience with commission, rewards, and hierarchy management systems in insurance or financial services. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in process modelling tools, MS Office Suite, and requirement gathering techniques. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and compliance standards. Desirable Skills Experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Prior exposure to insurance policy administration, agent onboarding, and payout management systems. Familiarity with agile project management practices.
