Job Description •Should use expertise of generator subsystems like cooling system, exhaust, alternator system etc. to move through the component development (or subsystem) process •Knowledge of benefits and limitations of the development tools and follow them in day to day work: Engineering standards, DVP, SOR, FIRG, 8D, analysis tools, material limits, and failure analysis techniques. •Should follow DFA, DFMEA, SPC process for product improvements •Has basic test cell knowledge including how a test cell works, the process for installing and removing an engine / Genset, and basic troubleshooting skills to coordinate with test engineering and other sections of business •Guide Validation team on key tests needed to verify and validate the component or subsystem along with test plan process. •Knowledge of CAD and soft analysis tools is must to promote analysis lead design and can facilitate the use of these tools. Able to read drawings and knows GD&T. Understands performance interactions with their component (or subsystem). •Work with team for manufacturing and rework processes during proto or final component development. •Understands supplier capabilities. Communicates and works with the suppliers while keeping Company propriety information safe •Provide a base product configuration that is 100% Functional BOM and allow customers change/enhance the base configuration by selecting alternatives or upgrading •Experience in Windchil BOM EBOM, MBOM Configuration by using Options and Variants, manage Configuration Rules for product feature dependencies •Define configuration/compatibility a rule as they are defined, provide feedback and prevent users from going down a dead-end configuration path •The person needs to understand the generator Business process and need to support BOM Management in Oracle
