About The Role
- Overseeing electrical projects from conceptualization to completion, including developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and managing resources to meet deadlines. • Performing detailed electrical design activities and calculations, such as breaker sizing, panel design, generator set sizing, cable sizing, earthing/grounding calculations, and lighting calculations. • Preparing detailed engineering documentation, including single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and technical specifications/data sheets for components like alternators, switchgear, control panels, and circuit breakers. • Liaising with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, contractors, suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless project execution and integration with other systems. • Supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including gensets, control systems, and power distribution networks. This often involves on-site presence and technical support. • Ensuring all designs and work comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO8528, UL2200) • Good Knowledge of design, Layouting/packaging within available space envelope, GA Drawings such as 2D drawing, 3D models • Detailed engineering drawings & Bill of Material for complete electrical systems of DG Set and associated customer / user interfaces. • Proficient in 3D CAD software – CREO, EPLAN, AutoCAD in product assembly & schematic, solid parametric modelling, detailing. • Good Knowledge & Conversant with design metrics & analysis for Alternators, control, power and synchronisation panels, Control Systems, Remote monitoring, Switchgears, Genset Controllers Deepsea/Woodward/Sedemac/Comap/procom/ Datacom etc) • Product data management software like Windchill • Education : Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic • Software : Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical. • Communication : Knowledge of Modbus, CANbus (J1939), and RS485 protocols. • Standards : Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, and local electrical codes.
