Kidvento is a rapidly growing education technology company dedicated to transforming the way children learn. We are seeking a skilled Head of Finance to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. If you're a finance expert ready to lead and make an impact, this position is for you!

Key Responsibilities

Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including account reconciliations, accrual schedules, and general journal entries, ensuring that reconciliations are performed accurately and on time

Oversee day-to-day operational needs, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, and vendor management

Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP standards and/or regulatory rules, including implementation of any changes

Responsible for annual external audit preparation and oversight. (Must pass annual audit)

Lead, support, and develop the accounting team and management of talent, including motivating, coaching, training, and mentoring team members

Oversee and direct documented system of accounting policies and procedures

Streamline, maintain, and improve processes and internal controls

Improve the internal control environment to monitor transaction risk and financial exposure more efficiently.

Create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting decisions in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate

Provide thought leadership on financial implications and risks related to key decisions and issues.

Manage global budgeting and financial planning functions with the executive team and Board.

Oversee contract management function with related to vendors, and customers and also partake in effective negotiations and accountability as needed

Work with the executive team to develop organizational charts, team, and culture

Prepare quarterly board material - financials as well as presentation

Responsible for providing KPIs and financial metrics that can lead to actionable items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • CA, CMA or CFA Qualification is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the manufacturing or edtech
  • Exceptional Accounting Management and Analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements, indirect taxation,
  • Familiarity with Zoho Books or Zoho Finance Plus is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a track record of driving process improvement and delivering on financial objectives
  • High level of integrity and ethics, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures
