About The Role
Location: Seixezelo (Porto) Contract Length: Permanent JOB PURPOSE As Supply Chain Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the performance, reliability, and future of our Seixezelo operations . Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager—and with a dotted-line connection to the Business Unit Supply Chain Manager—you will act as a key partner to Production, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Group Supply Chain teams. This is a highly visible and impactful role where you will oversee the full end-to-end supply chain flow, l eadin g a team of 34 people (5 direct reports) and en suring that customer commitments are met with efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. Beyond daily operations, this role offers the opportunity to influence processes at plant and group level , contribute to strategic planning , and continuously strengthen our way of working . PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Team Leadership & Development Lead and develop a team of 34 people (5 direct reports), fostering a modern, coaching-oriented culture. Support talent growth, succession planning, and performance management. Promote engagement, collaboration, and continuous skill development across the team. End-to-End Supply Chain & Customer Service Ensure smooth order fulfilment and OTIF performance. Coordinate with production, sales, and customer service to meet commitments. Maintain proactive communication with customers and suppliers. Procurement & Material Availability Lead strategic sourcing and monitor supplier performance. Ensure timely availability of raw materials and services. Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities. Planning, Scheduling & Inventory Drive forecasting, S&OP, and production planning. Maintain optimal inventory levels balancing cost and service. Align demand, capacity, and supply across functions. Warehousing, Distribution & Continuous Improvement Oversee warehousing and distribution efficiency. Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, simplification). Optimise transportation flows and delivery performance. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Formal Qualifications & Experience Minimum 8 years’ experience in full end-to-end supply chain roles. Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Proven people-management experience with a modern, coaching-oriented leadership style. Fluency in Portuguese and professional-level English . Data-analysis skills (ERP/MRP systems like SAP for example, Excel) Key Skills Strong team player and inspirational team leader . Excellent communication , influencing and negotiation abilities. Problem-solving oriented with solid decision-making skills. Highly organised with strong time-management habits. Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-changing environments .
