### Accountabilities
- Plan and conduct qualitative user research using methods such as one-on-one interviews, group research sessions, contextual inquiries, and usability testing.
- Partner with stakeholders and project teams to define research objectives, target user groups, key questions, assumptions, and areas of exploration.
- Develop research plans, discussion guides, documentation, and supporting materials tailored to project goals and constraints.
- Analyze research findings to identify patterns, themes, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Incorporate inputs from UX audits, accessibility reviews, workflow evaluations, content assessments, surveys, and operational data into research synthesis.
- Translate complex research findings into clear recommendations that inform product strategy, design decisions, and prioritization.
- Design and facilitate workshops, collaborative sessions, and stakeholder discussions to validate findings and explore opportunities.
- Prepare research deliverables including findings reports, insight summaries, presentation materials, opportunity frameworks, and recommended next steps.
- Present research outcomes to client teams and support leadership conversations through clear storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, project managers, and technical teams to integrate research insights throughout product development.
- Provide feedback on research artifacts, synthesis approaches, and findings as part of a collaborative design process.
## **Requirements:**
- 5–8+ years of experience conducting UX research for digital products, platforms, or services.
- Strong qualitative research expertise with experience independently planning and executing research initiatives.
- Proven ability to transform complex information and ambiguity into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent facilitation skills, particularly in remote, collaborative, and cross-functional environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating client-facing research documentation and presentations.
- Experience working closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving requirements.
- Familiarity with research and collaboration tools such as Figma/FigJam, Miro, Zoom-based facilitation platforms, Google Workspace, and research documentation workflows.
- Experience supporting projects in public sector, education, nonprofit, healthcare, or other regulated environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive research practices is preferred.
- Experience supporting research initiatives across multiple project phases or long-term engagements is advantageous.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
