### Accountabilities

The Patient Services Representative supports daily patient account operations by managing communications, investigating account details, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances. Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming patient phone calls and responding to questions regarding account information and balances.
  • Making outbound collection calls related to self-pay balances while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Conducting account investigations, researching information, and completing appropriate follow-up activities.
  • Contacting relevant internal or external sources when additional information is needed to resolve patient concerns.
  • Supporting patient service operations and completing additional administrative tasks as assigned.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate combines healthcare administrative experience with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in a medical office environment, preferably within patient services, eligibility, billing, or related healthcare operations.
  • Experience handling patient accounts, collections, and healthcare-related inquiries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
