This role offers the opportunity to become a foundational member of a growing legal function within a fast-paced technology environment.

### Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary legal partner for commercial contracting activities, with a focus on customer agreements, sales support, and procurement matters.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Order Forms, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and vendor contracts.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to accelerate deal execution while balancing business objectives with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop scalable sales enablement resources, contract playbooks, internal guidance, and processes that improve efficiency across commercial operations.
  • Build and optimize contract workflows, standard operating procedures, and legal processes in collaboration with legal operations stakeholders.
  • Support procurement activities by managing vendor agreements and helping business teams move quickly while maintaining appropriate risk management.
  • Collaborate with security, IT, and product teams to address customer questionnaires, privacy considerations, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of legal operations, including contract management tools, technology adoption, and AI-driven solutions that improve legal workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to expand support across the broader legal function while demonstrating strong ownership, judgment, and business understanding.

## **Requirements**

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active authorization to practice law in the United States or equivalent qualification in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • 6–8 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years working in-house within a startup, high-growth technology company, or scaling organization.
  • Strong experience negotiating commercial contracts, particularly customer-facing sales agreements and vendor or procurement contracts.
  • Previous experience supporting SaaS businesses or technology companies, with familiarity with SaaS agreements, data protection requirements, and enterprise customer negotiations.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a lean legal environment where building processes and taking initiative are essential.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk, business priorities, and customer relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and create practical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, transactions, and strategic projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with sales teams and cross-functional partners while maintaining a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working in an async-first, remote environment that requires independence, adaptability, and proactive communication.
  • Experience with legal technology, contract lifecycle management (CLM), AI tools, privacy regulations, or legal operations is a plus.
