### Accountabilities

The Area Vice President, Major Account Sales will own revenue growth strategies, strategic account development, and sales organization leadership across assigned markets. This role requires a proven executive sales leader who can build scalable processes, manage complex enterprise opportunities, and inspire teams to achieve ambitious business objectives.

  • Own revenue targets, bookings, and pipeline growth across assigned markets and strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute enterprise sales strategies aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Build and expand relationships with major enterprise customers and key strategic accounts.
  • Lead complex sales negotiations involving large-scale, multi-year opportunities and sophisticated buying organizations.
  • Identify new growth opportunities, account expansion strategies, and market opportunities within existing customer relationships.
  • Define go-to-market approaches, including segmentation, territory planning, account coverage, and sales execution models.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and consistent sales process adoption.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of sales leaders and account executives.
  • Establish performance expectations, coaching frameworks, and development plans to improve team effectiveness.
  • Partner with marketing, product, customer success, and finance teams to align growth initiatives and market strategies.
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to support product innovation and business decisions.
  • Implement performance dashboards, KPIs, and operational processes to improve sales efficiency and scalability.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate is a senior enterprise sales leader with extensive experience driving revenue growth, managing strategic accounts, and leading high-performing sales teams. They should combine strong commercial expertise with executive communication skills and a deep understanding of complex technology sales environments.

  • 12+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in senior sales leadership positions.
  • Proven success exceeding revenue targets in enterprise, strategic account, or major account sales environments.
  • Extensive experience selling complex, solutions-based offerings such as SaaS, telecommunications, cloud, or AI-driven technologies.
  • Strong experience managing large enterprise accounts, long sales cycles, and complex buying processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships.
  • Experience selling to major telecommunications providers, including strong relationships with key decision-makers across technology, product, and IT organizations.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using CRM systems, forecasting tools, pipeline analytics, and sales performance metrics.
  • Experience scaling sales organizations during periods of rapid growth is preferred.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based or recurring revenue business models is a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
