### Accountabilities

The Senior AWS Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines while ensuring reliability, performance, and data quality. Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize data engineering solutions using AWS cloud technologies and modern data warehouse practices.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, processing, and availability.
• Develop advanced SQL queries and optimize database performance for complex analytical workloads.
• Work extensively with Amazon Redshift and other cloud data warehouse technologies to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Apply strong data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Develop automation solutions and data engineering workflows using Python.
• Support production data pipelines by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing long-term improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
• Implement and maintain Git-based CI/CD processes using platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitLab Duo, Gemini, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, automation, and data platform capabilities.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer with strong cloud expertise, advanced SQL capabilities, and a passion for building efficient data solutions. Required qualifications and skills include:

• 6–12 years of professional experience in data engineering or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift; experience with Snowflake or Google BigQuery is also considered.
• Advanced SQL skills with proven experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and dimensional modeling approaches.
• Strong programming experience with Python for data engineering, automation, and data processing tasks.
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency and engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Mage, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, RDS PostgreSQL, IAM, and related cloud technologies is a plus.
• Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices is desirable.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver effective solutions.
• Strong ownership mindset with excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
