### Accountabilities

As a Cooperative Advisor, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with agricultural members, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and representing the organization within the regional farming community. You will combine technical knowledge, communication skills, and stakeholder collaboration to support members and contribute to collective success.

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with dairy producer members across assigned territories.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, member meetings, regional assemblies, and information-sharing activities.
  • Support producers in their efforts to maintain and improve milk quality standards.
  • Monitor farm-level quality improvement initiatives and provide guidance in accordance with industry agreements and established protocols.
  • Follow up with members when milk analysis results do not meet required standards and support corrective actions.
  • Explain cooperative policies, procedures, and programs while assisting members with documentation and administrative requests.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices related to animal welfare, sustainability, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and committees to deliver high-quality services to members.
  • Represent the organization within the agricultural community and maintain awareness of dairy industry developments.
  • Work closely with operations and logistics stakeholders to ensure effective communication and member support.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate combines agricultural expertise with strong relationship-building abilities. You should have experience working with producers or within the dairy industry and be comfortable managing responsibilities independently while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Animal Production, Plant Production, General Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Membership in the Ordre des agronomes du Québec or willingness to obtain membership.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong knowledge of dairy cattle production and the dairy industry.
  • Good understanding of agricultural practices, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships based on trust.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in different environments.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Willingness to travel between different regions, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
