### Accountabilities
The National Director of Experience will oversee travel experience operations by managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role combines strategic partnership development, contract management, and customer engagement to support successful group travel experiences.
- Identify, develop, and manage vendor partnership opportunities with hotels, vacation rentals, cabins, venues, and other hospitality providers.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, including net rate agreements and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and hospitality partners.
- Communicate regularly with customers throughout the planning process to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Review, evaluate, and approve proposals, contracts, invoices, and related documentation.
- Manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure service quality, reliability, and competitive offerings.
- Support the growth of group travel programs by developing efficient processes and improving the overall customer experience.
- Leverage industry knowledge and market insights to identify new opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
## Requirements
The ideal candidate is a hospitality or event planning professional with strong experience managing contracts, suppliers, and customer relationships. You should have a proven ability to manage multiple partnerships, negotiate effectively, and deliver exceptional experiences in a dynamic environment.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, travel operations, or a related field.
- Experience with hospitality revenue management and supplier relationship management.
- Proven experience negotiating hospitality contracts, including net rate agreements and long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage multiple group contracts within a given month.
- Experience managing hotel, venue, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with travel industry wholesalers such as Hotel Beds or similar platforms.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Strong computer and internet skills with the ability to work effectively in remote environments.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is a plus but not required.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
