### Accountabilities
The Senior GL Accountant will own key accounting processes and help scale financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient workflows. This role requires a proactive accounting professional who can manage day-to-day activities while contributing to process improvements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Own general ledger activities across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage the full procure-to-pay lifecycle, including vendor processes, spend controls, and policy compliance.
- Administer spend management processes and maintain visibility into company expenses.
- Maintain prepaid asset schedules, amortization schedules, and lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842 requirements.
- Manage cash and banking activities, including reconciliations across multiple business entities.
- Support budgeting, financial close processes, and variance analysis in partnership with Finance leadership and FP&A teams.
- Support state and multi-state tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial analysis, reports, and ad hoc insights for internal stakeholders.
- Drive improvements across accounting systems and workflows, including ERP, procurement, and financial management tools.
- Build and maintain scalable accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls within a rapidly growing environment.
- Support audit preparation and contribute to maintaining audit-ready financial operations.
## Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong general ledger expertise and a passion for building efficient financial processes. You should have solid technical accounting knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- 4+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger experience in a multi-entity corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of US GAAP.
- Experience working in SaaS, cloud technology, FinTech, FinOps, or another technology-driven industry preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement processes.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manage financial data effectively.
- Experience working in high-growth, startup, or rapidly changing environments.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication abilities with the confidence to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience with revenue accounting (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and financial statement audits.
- Familiarity with cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with accounting and finance tools such as Sage Intacct, RAMP, and FloQast is a plus.
