SAP PPDS/ePPDS Consultant

Accountabilities

The SAP PPDS/ePPDS Consultant will be responsible for delivering end-to-end consulting services, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, optimization, and user enablement.

• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to understand production planning requirements and design efficient SAP ePPDS solutions.
• Configure SAP ePPDS functionalities according to business needs, including master data, planning parameters, scheduling strategies, and integration settings.
• Design and optimize advanced planning and scheduling processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and supply chain performance.
• Perform system testing, validate configurations, document solutions, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to end users on SAP ePPDS processes and functionalities.
• Troubleshoot system issues and support users with production planning, scheduling, and exception management challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP ePPDS with other SAP solutions and connected systems.
• Support data migration activities and ensure accurate transfer of relevant planning data.
• Assist with change management activities, including process improvements, impact assessments, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement within planning processes.
• Contribute to project planning, delivery tracking, and successful execution of consulting engagements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong SAP PPDS/ePPDS expertise, experience in supply chain planning, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.

• 4+ years of experience implementing and configuring SAP ePPDS solutions.
• Strong hands-on configuration knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Advanced Planning, including basic settings, global settings, master data, planning procedures, and alert management.
• Experience with PP Optimization, MRP runs, order views, heuristics, detailed scheduling, and resource planning configurations.
• Knowledge of PPDS planning tools, including Planning Board, Product Planning Table, and PPDS alerts.
• Experience with CIF integration and SAP system connectivity.
• Understanding of block planning, PPDS Optimizer, and different planning levels including strategic, tactical, and operational planning.
• Strong understanding of SAP PP (Production Planning) and integration with other SAP modules.
• Experience supporting production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes across different industries.
• Knowledge of supply chain management concepts and best practices.
• Understanding of SAP IBP integration for forecast and planning processes is preferred.
• Previous experience with SAP APO is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, and business stakeholders.
