Accountabilities

As a Senior GenAI Engineer, you will design, develop, and operate AI-driven systems that power intelligent discovery and recommendation experiences. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of AI product development, from data processing and retrieval systems to reliable production services.

• Build and deploy agentic AI systems capable of planning, using tools, and executing multi-step workflows for research, discovery, and data processing use cases.
• Develop scalable data pipelines that crawl, process, clean, deduplicate, and structure complex information sources into reliable datasets.
• Own Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including data ingestion, embedding strategies, retrieval optimization, ranking, citations, and grounding.
• Design ranking and relevance systems that match users with the most valuable information through advanced search and recommendation techniques.
• Create evaluation frameworks, monitoring solutions, and observability practices to ensure AI systems remain accurate, safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
• Transform prototypes into resilient production applications with strong reliability, performance, and maintainability standards.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to solve complex problems and influence technical strategy.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, reusable code while helping establish engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong AI engineering expertise and a track record of building complex systems from concept through production. You should be comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment and passionate about developing practical AI solutions.

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong expertise in Python and relational database design.
• Proven experience owning complex systems end to end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, and production reliability.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building applications using modern Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, and scalable software architecture.
• Experience designing and optimizing RAG systems, including hybrid search, vector retrieval, re-ranking, and citation-based grounding.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex is preferred.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience building agentic data-processing systems involving crawling, extraction, deduplication, and structured data workflows.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation methodologies, including precision/recall analysis, LLM-based evaluation, monitoring, and model performance tracking.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, advanced SQL, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, Docker, and CI/CD workflows is advantageous.
