### Accountabilities

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for executing complex field service activities, ensuring high-quality technical support, customer satisfaction, and reliable operation of high-voltage equipment. The role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, independent decision-making, and the ability to lead projects in the field.

  • Perform advanced field service operations with limited supervision, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs, anticipating issues, and delivering timely technical support.
  • Conduct testing, inspections, and diagnostics on high-voltage systems and related equipment.
  • Support substation construction activities and ensure technical standards and safety requirements are met.
  • Lead field service projects, coordinate activities, and provide technical direction to crews when required.
  • Analyze operational challenges and recommend improvements to enhance equipment performance and service delivery.
  • Develop opportunities for additional services by identifying customer needs and potential business opportunities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and service records using relevant software tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, customer experience, and overall operational efficiency.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and mechanical expertise, hands-on field service experience, and the ability to independently manage complex technical assignments. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, customer focus, and the ability to work effectively in demanding field environments.

  • More than 5 years of experience in technical field service, electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
  • Hands-on experience working with high-voltage equipment, including systems up to 800kV.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing procedures, commissioning activities, and substation construction.
  • Technical education, trade certification, or degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience leading or coordinating field crews and managing service activities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound technical decisions in the field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and technical testing software.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, including approximately 80% travel.
  • Must have existing authorization to work in the United States.
