### Accountabilities
The Senior QA Automation Developer will be responsible for driving automation excellence, improving testing practices, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Architect, develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites using Playwright and industry-standard automation practices.
- Design and implement reliable end-to-end testing solutions with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and long-term efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers throughout the SDLC to identify quality risks, clarify requirements, and define acceptance criteria.
- Drive quality across UI and API testing by leveraging tools such as Postman, monitoring insights, incident reviews, and customer feedback.
- Apply AI-powered tools and innovative approaches to accelerate QA automation development and improve testing strategies.
- Create comprehensive test plans based on product requirements, technical documentation, and business objectives.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for key initiatives and validate new features before release.
- Review manual test cases and identify opportunities to integrate scenarios into automated regression suites.
- Improve QA processes, documentation, workflows, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Partner with senior QA leaders to enhance automation standards and promote continuous quality improvements.
## Requirements
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in software quality engineering, automation frameworks, and Agile development environments, with the ability to combine technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, testing SaaS, cloud applications, or complex software platforms.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and quality engineering principles.
- Proven experience creating scalable end-to-end automation solutions using design patterns such as Page Object Model, data factories, and separation of concerns.
- Experience with both UI and API testing, including API validation tools such as Postman.
- Strong automation-first mindset with experience improving test coverage and integrating automation into CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, rapid release cycles, and test management platforms.
- Experience with TypeScript and/or Go is a plus.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to continuously learn new technologies and incorporate modern testing approaches, including AI-assisted tools.
