### Accountabilities
The Senior Director of Paid Media will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of the media function, ensuring exceptional campaign performance, and building a scalable operating model. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the strategic authority for paid media best practices across search, social, display, and emerging advertising platforms.
- Develop and execute comprehensive multi-channel media strategies aligned with client objectives, KPIs, market trends, and business growth goals.
- Identify and test new channels, technologies, and approaches to improve campaign performance and create additional client value.
- Provide strategic leadership during new business opportunities, contributing expertise, innovative ideas, and performance marketing insights.
- Build trusted relationships with key clients by leading performance discussions, presenting strategic recommendations, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Oversee campaign quality and effectiveness while delegating tactical execution to team members and maintaining visibility into account performance.
- Lead and mentor Associate Directors and broader media teams through coaching, performance development, and professional growth initiatives.
- Establish departmental priorities, processes, and quality standards to improve efficiency and consistency across media operations.
- Drive hiring, team development, and resource planning decisions to ensure the right talent is positioned for success.
- Create and implement training programs that keep teams current with evolving media platforms, strategies, and industry best practices.
- Partner with analytics, creative, and planning teams to optimize campaign delivery and improve overall marketing impact.
- Manage department financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, utilization, and resource allocation.
## Requirements
The ideal candidate is a proven performance marketing leader with extensive experience managing paid media strategies, teams, and client relationships. Required qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role within an established digital marketing agency.
- 8+ years of experience in performance media, with demonstrated success developing and executing multi-channel strategies.
- Strong expertise across paid search and paid social platforms, including Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other digital advertising channels.
- Proven ability to innovate, evolve media practices, and improve performance within a rapidly changing marketing landscape.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience managing teams, mentoring direct reports, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to independently define strategic direction, make decisions, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Deep understanding of customer journeys and experience measuring performance across different funnel stages.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence executives and senior clients.
- Experience managing department financials, including P&L ownership, forecasting, utilization planning, and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations.
