### Accountabilities

As Manager, Total Rewards, you will own the strategy, design, and execution of compensation, benefits, and payroll programs while building a scalable rewards function. You will balance long-term strategic initiatives with immediate operational needs, ensuring accurate administration, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead the development and optimization of compensation and benefits strategies aligned with business goals, employee needs, and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking, internal equity reviews, pay structure analysis, and recommend improvements to rewards programs.
  • Manage annual compensation review cycles, incentive programs, compensation modeling, and leadership compensation initiatives.
  • Oversee health plan strategy, vendor relationships, benefit renewals, enrollment processes, and employee benefits operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, pay transparency requirements, and multi-state payroll regulations.
  • Manage payroll operations for a remote workforce, ensuring accurate processing, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee payroll and benefits questions, providing clear guidance and timely resolutions.
  • Build and scale the Total Rewards function by defining processes, improving workflows, and supporting the future development of the team.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and leadership teams to provide insights, reporting, and recommendations that improve employee programs and organizational effectiveness.

## **Requirements:**

The ideal candidate is an experienced Total Rewards professional who combines strategic thinking with strong operational expertise. You should have experience managing compensation, benefits, and payroll programs while thriving in a fast-paced environment where building and improving systems is essential.

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, total rewards, or related HR disciplines, including hands-on payroll management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, benefits administration, and employment regulations.
  • Experience managing payroll systems such as ADP or Paylocity and HRIS platforms; experience with BambooHR is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of ERISA, ACA, FMLA, pay transparency laws, and related compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to analyze compensation data, conduct market benchmarking, and develop equitable reward strategies.
  • Experience managing payroll processes for distributed or remote teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels, managing day-to-day execution while building long-term programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with leadership and employees at all levels.
  • Certifications such as CPP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR are considered a plus.
