### Accountabilities

As a Logistics and Last-Mile Procurement Specialist, you will support client engagements by leading sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and delivering procurement transformation solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading strategic sourcing initiatives across logistics categories, including last-mile delivery networks, courier services, transportation providers, fleet management solutions, and logistics technologies.
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with client objectives to improve cost efficiency, service quality, and operational performance.
  • Conducting supplier evaluations, competitive sourcing events, market assessments, and logistics benchmarking activities.
  • Negotiating supplier agreements and supporting contract development efforts to drive savings, reduce risks, and improve service outcomes.
  • Designing and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supplier governance models, and performance management frameworks.
  • Performing total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, should-cost modeling, spend analysis, and market research to support strategic recommendations.
  • Analyzing logistics and transportation spend data to identify optimization opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Managing supplier performance, contract compliance, and vendor risk assessments to ensure successful partnerships.
  • Leading project workstreams, including planning, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution, and executive-level reporting.
  • Collaborating with operations, transportation, finance, legal, and leadership teams to deliver impactful procurement solutions.
  • Supporting business development activities through industry expertise, proposal contributions, and client presentations.
  • Building long-term supplier partnerships and generating measurable value through procurement transformation initiatives.
  • Traveling as needed to support client projects and supplier activities.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate is a seasoned procurement and logistics professional with strong experience in sourcing strategy, supplier management, and supply chain transformation. You should bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or consulting roles.
  • Proven experience managing sourcing initiatives and contracts related to last-mile delivery, courier services, transportation providers, and logistics suppliers across the U.S.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, transportation networks, telematics solutions, route optimization technologies, and digital logistics platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading supplier negotiations, contract development, vendor management programs, and complex sourcing events.
  • Experience creating and managing SLAs, KPIs, supplier governance frameworks, and vendor risk management processes.
  • Expertise in logistics market analysis, benchmarking, TCO assessments, spend analysis, should-cost modeling, and business case development.
  • Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities, improve supplier performance, and deliver operational efficiencies through data-driven strategies.
  • Strong consulting and advisory skills with experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management capabilities, including handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Procurement, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications or advanced education such as MBA, Master’s degree, CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, C.P.M., or other supply chain credentials.
