Your Responsibilities

Work on topics for a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis in the areas of specification management, design guideline processing in ALM tools, model-based systems engineering, and AI-supported workflows for requirements engineering and model quality improvement

Develop concepts, prototypes, and evaluations for AI-integrated solutions in Codebeamer and iQuavis environments

Understand existing block diagrams of INNIO Jenbacher systems and subsystems and transfer them into the MBSE toolchain

Collaborate closely with Controls, Mechanics, and Thermodynamics teams to develop and test processes, methods, and tools

Support discussions on scope, concept definitions, and feature design by involving relevant experts

Exchange with senior engineers on technical development challenges and discuss possible solutions

Area of topics for Master/Bachelor thesis

Develop solutions for specification management for our mechanical or thermodynamic discipline

Develop a concept for how Design Guidelines are processed in our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools

Improve our Model-based Systems Engineering methodology using state-of-the-art methods.

Develop and evaluate AI-supported workflows for requirements engineering — including automated requirement validation, authoring assistance, traceability mapping, and change impact analysis within our Codebeamer ALM environment

Investigate AI-based approaches for improving model quality in our MBSE tool iQuavis — covering consistency checks, redundancy detection, completeness verification, and AI-assisted model authoring

Develop a concept and prototype for an AI-integrated user interface connected to Codebeamer, enabling engineers to trigger analyses, review AI-generated outputs, and navigate results without relying on scripts or command-line tools

Your Profile

Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field

Educational experience in system development and simulation (e.g. MBSE, MATLAB)

Basic understanding of reciprocating engines and power systems is beneficial

Passion for system development and a strong team player mindset

The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.698,59 gross per month (x 14).
