Job Description
- Assist with therapy staff scheduling, including tracking PTO, productivity support, and daily coverage adjustments.
- Coordinate and distribute daily essential care cards to nursing units.
- Perform insurance verifications and assist with authorization tracking as directed.
- Prepare, deliver, and file clinical and administrative documents in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain organized patient records and therapy department files.
- Support data tracking for productivity, census changes, and caseload updates.
- Assist leadership with reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Facilitate communication between therapy, nursing, case management, and admissions teams.
- Assist therapists with equipment setup, breakdown, and transport for individual and group therapy sessions.
- Deliver and retrieve therapy equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, adaptive devices, etc.) to patient rooms and nursing units.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the therapy gym and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Support therapists during group therapy sessions by preparing materials, monitoring participation under supervision, and maintaining safety.
- Assist with patient transport to and from therapy areas as needed.
- Monitor inventory of therapy supplies and adaptive equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory of therapy equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate ordering of supplies and track usage levels.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed.
- Identify equipment needs and report repair requirements promptly.
- Assist with organization and labeling of adaptive equipment and storage areas
- Ensure proper handling and secure delivery of patient documentation.
- Support department adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and facility documentation standards.
- Assist in preparation for audits and surveys.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business or related field - Preferred
- Prior experience in rehabilitation, SNF, outpatient or healthcare setting - Preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and electronic medical records systems - Preferred
- Experience with EMR systems and insurance verification process - Preferred
