Retainer - Legal

LOOKING FOR IMMEDIATE JOINERS (0-15 DAYS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Legal Retainer for our Litigation team, with 3-5 years of experience who will assist in drafting pleadings, applications & responses, coordinate with external counsels, and represent the company in legal meetings/hearings as required. The role includes hands-on legal work along with coordination and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting plaints, complaints, replies, written statements, applications & legal notices.
• Coordinate regularly with panel lawyers for case strategy, documentation, hearing preparation and next steps.
• Appear in court as required and manage end-to-end filing work, including coordination with courts and counsels
• Attend client meetings, court hearings (where required), and assist in briefings with counsel.
• Review legal drafts received from lawyers and provide comments/edits before filing.
• Prepare documentation, case briefs, and relevant annexures for filing.
• Maintain comprehensive records of litigation matters along with status updates.
• Support internal stakeholders (Collections, Credit, Ops, Finance etc.) for documents/data related to cases.
• Provide regular updates on case progress and risk escalations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• 3–5 years of work experience in litigation handling for NBFC / BFSI preferred (law firm or corporate legal).
• Strong drafting capability and understanding of litigation processes.
• Ability to review, analyse and edit legal drafts effectively.
• Comfortable working with multiple lawyers and handling parallel matters.
• Strong communication skills (written + verbal).
