Welding/Manufacturing Engineer

About The Role
What you will get to do
- Spend 80-85% of your time on the production floor supporting daily operations and troubleshooting welding challenges.
- Develop, implement, and maintain welding processes for new and existing products.
- Perform weld trials and process validation activities.
- Mentor and coach welders, sharing your expertise to help them grow their skills and confidence.
- Develop and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) documentation with a focus on thin gauge and aluminum applications.
- Manage welder qualifications and certifications to ensure compliance and readiness.
- Design fixtures and optimizations tailored to thin gauge material welding.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and recommend equipment or method enhancements.
What will make you successful
- Bachelors in Welding Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a welding or fabrication environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on welding knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
- Deep expertise TIG, spot, and projection welding.
- Comfortable developing, updating, and troubleshooting Weld Procedure Specifications.
- Desire to coach welders and develop their technical skills.
- Ability to diagnose root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with production, quality, and leadership teams.
- Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
