The VP of Operations will be a key member of the RF Power senior leadership team, will play an active role in the development and deployment of the RF Power growth strategy and will represent the division internationally.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to drive a transformation in the division’s focus on Operational Excellence through the end-to-end supply chain, creating an operations group that are real differentiators to customers in an increasingly competitive market.

Through a proactive approach to operational change and improvement, the VP of Operations will promote growth and re-investment by embedding lean manufacturing principles throughout the supply chain, reducing the overall manufacturing cost significantly and improving on-time delivery to our customers, with high quality at the heart of what we do.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a world class operations function, including the following areas: Procurement; Planning; Logistics & Shipping; Manufacturing; Engineering; Facilities & Maintenance, ensuring the safe, on time delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers.
  • Effectively plan and allocate manufacturing resource within a complex manufacturing environment to meet current and predicted customer requirements, ensuring that the quality of products continuously exceeds customer requirements and associated standards.
  • Responsible for the leadership, development and deployment of motivated, high performing Operations teams and leading on the development of career pathways within Operations in conjunction with other functional areas.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an integrated Operations strategy which enables delivery of the Division’s goals
  • Develop, implement and maintain key performance measures across Operations, driving engagement & ownership from the teams to deliver against these.
  • Responsible for all manufacturing processes with the remit to maximize business performance in support of customer requirements
  • Proactively manage a safe working environment in compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental law standards, procedures and company requirements. Intervene, correct (where able to) and report all unsafe or non-compliant situations by taking action. Take responsibility for the duty of care towards your team and those you come into contact with. Role model the e2v Safety, Health and Environment Leadership Team (SHELT) principles.

Experience & Qualifications

Extensive experience of leading end-to-end Operations functions within complex manufacturing environments

Proven ability to drive culture change through well embedded teams to promote operational excellence

A track record of developing relevant business metrics to drive sustained performance improvements

Numerate with strong commercial awareness

Experience of designing and implementing lean manufacturing processes

Experience of Facilities and on-site contractor management

Working knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 standards and auditing practices

Extensive customer interaction experience

Experience of working within a senior team to develop, detail and execute a strategic plan

Demonstrate the application of continuous improvement techniques, approaches to quality and change management to deliver business efficiencies

Ability and drive to develop talent through the organisation

Strong influencing capability and demonstrable experience of influencing across a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally as well as across different geographies.

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline

Computer literate (MS Office/Project/Visio)

ERP / SAP Systems experience

UK citizen with at least SC (Security Check) level security clearance or the ability to be cleared to this level
