MEININGER Hotels is offering a new exciting opportunity for a cross-section function involving general ledger, fixed assets and inter-company reconciliations tasks. The role is based in our office in Kreuzberg, Berlin.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare month/quarterly and year end closings and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals calculation (personnel, reinstatement obligation and other accruals)
- Responsibility with special accounting topics according to IFRS (IFRS 16) and local GAAP
- Manage fixed assets module including additions disposals and depreciation for approximately 50 group entities
- Preparing the financial statements for Meininger entities
- Compile project costs for construction, furniture, and service equipment for ongoing projects and adding to the fixed asset software upon completion
- Preparing fixed asset register
- Reconcile the balance in the accounting general ledger to the fixed asset reports
- Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
- Review amounts capitalized or expensed as fixed assets adhering to the company capitalization policy
- Intercompany Reconciliation
- General ledger and subledger reconciliation
YOUR PROFILE
- Educational degree in Finance
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in an international Finance environment
- Working experience in Shared Service companies and General Ledger Accounting is a plus
- IFRS experience, local GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Good knowledge of Planning tools & Budget process (LucaNet, Fairmas is a plus)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (D365)
- Excellent skills in Excel, knowledge of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is advantageous
- Analytical thinking, energetic and pragmatic attitude
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Business proficiency in English, other foreign languages (German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese) would be advantageous
