Director & Head - Retail Sales

Position: Director & Head - Retail Sales Position Purpose: Lead the retail sales function for Invesco Asset Management (India). Define and execute the retail sales strategy to drive AUM growth, expand distribution, and strengthen Invesco's market position. Principal Accountabilities: · Strategy & Planning: Define annual and long-term retail sales strategy; develop sales plans, budgets, and AUM targets across channels. · Distribution Management: Own relationships with key intermediaries — private banks, national distributors, large IFAs, wealth platforms, and digital distributors. Drive empanelment, activation, and strategic alliances. · Sales Execution: Personally manage the largest and most strategic accounts. Drive gross sales, SIP book growth, retention, and market share across equity, fixed income, PMS, hybrid, and passive categories. · Team Leadership: Lead and coach the pan-India retail sales team (zonal/regional heads, RMs). Set KRAs, manage performance, and build succession depth. · Cross-functional Coordination: Partner with Product, Marketing, Investment, and Operations teams on positioning, launches, training, and investor engagement. · Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to SEBI, AMFI, and internal compliance standards. Represent Invesco at industry forums and key distributor events. · Reporting: Provide MIS, market intelligence, and sales reviews to India leadership and Invesco's regional/global stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Certifications: · Deep understanding of the Indian mutual fund industry, distribution architecture, and SEBI/AMFI regulatory framework. · Comprehensive knowledge of investment products across asset classes and their positioning across investor segments. · Strong grasp of competitor strategies, distributor economics, and digital distribution trends · Strategic thinking and strong business/commercial acumen · Proven sales leadership and new-business generation
