About The Role

Job Description Position: AVP/VP - Compliance Reports to (Position): Director & Head - Compliance Location: Mumbai Core Responsibilities: · Single point of contact for managing Internal Audit function, inter-alia, IA of schemes, PMS and AMC. Liase with external CA firm appointed as IA and internal stakeholders for timely submission of data & completion of audit, help resolve queries of IA in coordination with respective teams at IAMI and help in finalisation of reports. · Manage SEBI inspection. As a SPOC for SEBI inspection, laise with inspection team for data requirements and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders for timely submission of data. Basis the observations in the report, draft management responses and then help in drafting of AMC & Trustee board comments, as may be applicable. Keep track of action points arising out of SEBI inspections and track the implementation of the same. In case of any extension, please flag it on a timely basis and complete the process for seeking approval of AMC & Trustee Board. Manage all the regulatory filings regarding SEBI inspection. · Supporting various compliance matters viz. offer documents / KIM, scheme launch, listing of schemes, vetting of marketing materials, review of HY financials and portfolios, Trustee report to unit holders, Manuals & policies implementation & updation, issue of notices & addendums pursuant to changes in scheme features, appointment of directors / key persons, merger / winding up of schemes / changes in fundamental attributes, responses to due diligences preparing comprehensive checklist for various regulatory activities, implementing Personal Trading Personal Trading and PIT Guidelines. Managing executive committees. · Assist in regulatory and board reporting · Providing advice and support to business including senior stakeholders on new business developments, regulatory changes / developments, compliance matters, industry trends on compliance matters etc. · Regulatory change management i.e. keeping track of regulatory changes, analysis of circulars / notifications, impact analysis & tracking of implementations at IAMI, tracking orders issued by SEBI, SAT & Courts, informal guidance, & preparing impact / action points for IAMI. · Providing guidance to internal / external stakeholders on regulatory & compliance matters. · Liase with Statutory Auditors for data requirements, responding to observations / queries as a first level contact. · AML Framework i.e. policies around PMLA, KYC, STR, processes around client due diligence, analysis of alerts, training of employees on AML matters, tracking regulatory / industry developments around AML matters & implementing the same at IAMI, liasoning with IVZ global AML team, Running STR Committee meetings, minutes, paperwork, whitelisting of investors, review of processes for checking of watchlist, UNSCR / MHA List etc. · Suggesting measures for process improvements, automation, review & strengthening of controls framework, act as a change agent. Support / Manage Other Compliance Activities Principal Accountabilities: · Strong domain knowledge of Internal Audits of AMCs / MF. Experience in managing regulatory inspections · Regulatory compliances / reporting for MFs · Ability to decode / analyse regulatory changes and be ahead of the curve to manage implementation. · P rocess improvements & automation. Team player Qualifications: Chartered Accountant / MBA from premier institute. Additional qualification like CFA / FRM will be useful. Knowledge: Looking for candidate who has strong domain knowledge in the area of internal audits either at AMC / MF or big CA firm or at GCC of global asset managers. Knowledge of MF Regulations with special emphasis on compliance matters, regulatory reporting Further the candidate should have interpretation skills to decode the regulatory changes and provide answers to queries / provide solutions.
