About The Role

The Occupational Therapist works under the supervision of leadership. Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients, as directed by a provider, using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.

Evaluates patients referred by providers. Establishes goals that maximize the patient’s recovery. Plans a treatment program, using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals. Implements the treatment program using approved procedures. Documents treatment procedures and the patient’s response to them, on a regular basis. Responsible for treatment procedures, documentation, and supervision of occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students, and Rehab Aide, when appropriate. Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary team conferences, when appropriate. Participates in continual process improvement. Other duties as assigned Education Bachelor's Degree - Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy school with Bachelor of Science/ARTS. - Required Work Experience Licenses and Certifications Occupational Therapist (OT) - Licensed in State of Missouri - Required within 60 Days Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days Travel Requirements Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
