Electrical Senior Principal Engineer Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards. What you’ll achieve: As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will lead complex designs, own critical analyses, and guide validation to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions. You will collaborate across disciplines to integrate systems and mitigate risks. Your work will set technical direction for major features and platforms.

You will: Lead end-to-end PCBA development from architecture and requirements definition through schematic design, layout guidance, bring-up, validation, and production release Drive board-level architecture and key technical decisions for next-generation server, storage, networking, and AI platforms Lead cross-functional design tradeoff decisions that balance performance, cost, power, reliability, manufacturability, and schedule Lead complex debug, root cause analysis, and electrical validation efforts while ensuring product quality and production readiness Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and influence technical strategy across multiple programs and product generations

Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements 12+ years of experience developing complex electrical hardware products from concept through production, or equivalent combination of education and experience Deep expertise in board-level architecture, schematic design, component selection, and electrical system integration Strong experience with analog and digital circuit design, power delivery, and high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, SAS, SATA, or similar technologies Extensive knowledge of PCB design practices, including signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, DFM, DFT, and reliability considerations Demonstrated success leading hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and cross-functional technical problem-solving efforts Desirable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (Master’s degree preferred). Experienced in developing high-performance enterprise computing platforms, leveraging advanced ECAD/simulation tools, deep datacenter architecture expertise, and leadership of global engineering teams and partners
