What You'll Do Collaborate across teams to define, design, and ship products Design and build applications for the Android platform Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of our apps Maintain high standards for code quality, test coverage, and automation What You Bring Development experience applying modern, AI-assisted development workflows 2+ years of experience developing Android apps 3+ years of team-based development experience Proficiency in Java and Kotlin Understanding of Google's Guide to App Architecture and Material Design Solid understanding of code versioning tools such as git Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools such as Android Studio Experience with mobile databases Familiarity with continuous integration JLPT N2 level Japanese Nice to Have Familiarity with GraphQL for connecting Android apps to back-end services Understanding of operating system concepts such as threading, file systems, and memory allocation Experience with Jetpack Compose, Dagger / Hilt, and Kotlin Coroutines & Flow Experience with JUnit testing Experience developing Android apps using unidirectional data flow Interest or proficiency in UI design Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and other major network protocols Basic knowledge of media formats such as HLS and MP4
