Group Senior Compliance Engineer

About The Role

The Pickering Group is a family-owned, UK-based electronics manufacturer established in 1968, specializing in high-quality switching, simulation, and relay products for industries like aerospace, automotive, and defense .

The applicant will be focused on helping refresh the compliance of Pickering Group products to the latest legislation in Europe and the USA. The role will be on a 6 month rolling contract basis with hybrid working. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess our range of Pickering Interfaces products to EN 61010-1
  • Produce test plans based on the outcomes of the EN 61010-1 reports
  • Compile the relevant documents for each product into a Technical Construction File with a view to NRTL certification.
  • Liaise with NRTL's to pass product groups into certificates
  • Assess some Pickering Electronics products to EN 61010-1 and EN 60601-1, and produce associated test plans.
  • Assess internally used machinery to EN 60204-1

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related subject.
  • Experience: Experience assessing products to CE legislation, in particular EN 61010-1 and compiling of TCFs. Experience dealing with NRTL certification bodies is preferred.
  • Competencies: Clear and presentable report writing. Detail oriented. Able to advise on fixes for non-compliances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training on CE marking for the Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive.

Key Skills

  • Professional report writing and creation in Microsoft Word
  • An understanding of electrical products and global compliance regulations
