About The Role
- π§ Senior Project Planner Opportunity
- Help shape and deliver complex, large-scale nuclear projects by leading planning and scheduling activities, providing assurance, insight, and robust project controls support.
π Key Responsibilities
- π Develop, own and maintain integrated Primavera P6 schedules aligned to scope, WBS, CBS and key milestones.
- π οΈ Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, Commercial, Risk and stakeholders to create realistic, achievable plans.
- π Lead progress updates, analyse performance, trends and variances, and provide clear management insight.
- π Identify critical and near-critical paths, dependencies, constraints, risks and opportunities.
- π Develop and maintain WBS/CBS alignment, schedule coding, assumptions and planning basis.
- π― Establish and maintain schedule baselines, ensuring changes are managed through formal change control.
- π‘οΈ Perform schedule health and integrity checks, challenging logic, durations, constraints, float and calendars.
- β οΈ Assess schedule risk and support mitigation, what-if scenarios, recovery plans and QSRA where required.
- π₯ Support resource loading, capacity analysis, forecasting and resource profiles/histograms.
- π· Integrate schedule, cost and EVM information to support performance measurement and forecasting.
- π Manage key interfaces and dependencies across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.
- π Review and challenge supplier/contractor schedules and integrate them into the overall project plan.
- ποΈ Ensure schedules reflect nuclear assurance, approvals, hold points, procurement, testing and commissioning requirements.
- π€ Mentor junior planners and promote consistent planning standards, governance and best practice.
π― Skills Needed
- βοΈ Advanced Primavera P6 planning and scheduling capability.
- βοΈ Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and integrated cost/schedule controls.
- βοΈ Strong critical path, schedule assurance, forecasting and analytical skills.
- βοΈ Excellent communicator, collaborator and problem-solver.
- βοΈ Commercial awareness with strong attention to detail.
- βοΈ Proven experience managing complex, integrated project schedules.
- ββββ Qualifications
π Qualifications
π Degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
π Primavera P6 Advanced Course, APM PM Fundamentals, or equivalent.
π‘ Nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience desirable.
