About The Role
Our Human Resources Division is seeking a professional, customer service oriented, quality-minded individual to join the HR Operations team! You will play a key role in collecting and processing employee documents for I-9 requirements, manage our SEL Cares program, support government regulatory processes, assist in upkeeping of personnel files and other HR files , and provide prompt and high-quality customer service to employees at SEL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of HR Operations functions, including I-9 compliance, government reporting, SEL Cares, personnel files, unemployment claims, personal information changes, and project management.
- Provide input to the development and be able to support implementation of HR guidance, policies or procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and manage reporting requests.
- Respond to applicant, candidate, employee, and/or community inquiries, concerns and needs.
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned.

You may be a strong fit for this role if you possess these skills and abilities
- B.A. or B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years related experience or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office
- Strong customer service experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
- Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks in multiple disciplines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and filing skills
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Post-offer background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
As well as these preferred, although not required, qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of HR laws and practices
- Professional certification in related field
- Familiarity with an HRIS system and processes
