Business R&D Team Leader (Professionals)

About The Role
- You will lead a team of engineers to successfully execute R&D projects within the allocated budget, timeframe, and scope
- You will Oversee the professional development and management of team members
- You will offer technical advice and project execution support to R&D team members throughout the duration of the projects
- You will Engage in continuous discussions with local planning, production, and laboratory teams to ensure timely execution of prototypes
- You will Monitor and control project costs, providing monthly reports. Proactively anticipate and address cost deviations
- You will Ensure prompt and regular reporting on project status, taking proactive measures in case of deviations from the agreed baseline
- You will Foster a culture of challenging existing technologies, leveraging innovative thinking, and contributing to idea generation for product roadmap
- You will Ensure adherence to intellectual property regulations and take appropriate actions
- You will Maintain the highest HSE standards in all team activities, including conducting risk evaluations during the manufacturing and testing of R&D prototypes
- You will work directly with other R&D teams, Hitachi Research Centers, receiving factories, and engineering teams worldwide
- You will actively participate in R&D projects, providing technical expertise as a team member

- Educational Background: University degree in a relevant engineering field, such as industrial, electrical, mechanical or similar
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D activities or engineering within the transformers industry
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the design, manufacturing, and testing of bushings
- R&D processes experience: Familiarity with R&D project management practices and processes, working in a structured manner using relevant methods, procedures, and tools
- Project Leadership: Proven experience in leading large-scale projects is advantageous
- Personal Attributes: Strong character, determined, result-oriented, and open-minded. Demonstrates a deep sense of ownership in achieving assigned targets
- People Management: Skilled at managing diverse people, with the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire others
- Innovative Thinking: Exhibits creativity and "out-of-the-box" thinking, with great attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenging existing methodologies
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills in both English and Spanish
