About The Role

Take ownership of day‑to‑day virtual asset and fiat settlements, with a focus on risk control, process optimisation, and regulatory compliance across multiple products and venues. You will act as a senior point of contact for reconciliation issues, partnering with trading, technology, finance, and compliance to ensure robust end‑to‑end controls. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily reconciliation of bank accounts, settlement systems, and blockchain transactions, ensuring breaks are promptly identified, investigated, and resolved. Perform deep‑dive investigations into trade booking, confirmation, and settlement discrepancies, and drive timely resolution of outstanding issues across internal and external stakeholders. Proactively identify open risks, escalate material issues, and propose mitigation actions, reinforcing a strong first line of defence culture. Partner with technology and trading teams to enhance and automate the reconciliation process, including requirements gathering, UAT, and rollout of new tools and workflows. Oversee trade booking, matching, and reconciliation for virtual assets and fiat products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to cut‑off times. Lead or contribute to process‑reengineering initiatives to streamline operational workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and minimise operational risk. Play a key role in system enhancements and ad‑hoc projects related to trading operations, settlements, and control frameworks. Compliance Support fund transfers and settlements for various products by ensuring end‑to‑end alignment with AML/CFT standards and internal policies. Ensure all transactions and reconciliations comply with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements, helping to safeguard the integrity and stability of the financial markets. Champion controls and data quality, and support initiatives to reduce manual workload and strengthen surveillance and monitoring capabilities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines; relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CFA, CAMS) are an advantage. 3 years of experience in trading operations, settlements, or middle‑office roles within financial institutions, brokerages, or digital asset platforms, with hands‑on exposure to virtual assets and/or FX preferred. Strong understanding of trade lifecycles, cash and asset reconciliations, and operational risk controls. Proven track record in driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and change management within operations. High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, trends, and control gaps, and proactively implement enhancements. Strong analytical, numerical, and systems skills; comfortable working with reconciliation tools, spreadsheets, and order/settlement systems. Effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams and to manage stakeholders under time pressure. Excellent command of written and spoken English; Cantonese and Putonghua are preferred. Strong team player, willing to work on shift schedule.
