Role Overview Role Title: Business Analyst (Travel Services) Function: Business Analytics Seniority Level: Associate Employment Type: Full time What You'll Do Own the analytical narrative for the vertical: Partner with the central Business Analytics team to align on data standards, metric definitions, and sources of truth, ensuring stakeholders work from a consistent foundation. Turn raw data into growth opportunities: Independently extract, clean, and structure data from multiple sources to identify opportunities across regions, tiers, verticals, and partner segments. Develop growth hypotheses and recommendations: Translate complex datasets into clear hypotheses and data-backed recommendations that inform channel strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions. Lead analytical deep dives end to end: Scope, execute, and validate analyses—from querying raw data through SQL or data exports to generating insights and actionable recommendations. Support channel strategy and planning: Partner with the Planning team to translate insights into scalable initiatives, define priorities and success metrics, and shape rollout plans across markets. Build robust analytical frameworks: Develop reusable frameworks, metric definitions, validation checks, and data hygiene practices to ensure reporting is consistent, reliable, and decision-ready. Establish a test-and-learn feedback loop: Define measurement approaches, rigorously track outcomes, and incorporate learnings into future planning and program design. Drive practical AI adoption across the vertical: Identify high-impact use cases, run focused pilots, track priority initiatives, remove blockers, and connect the central AI team with Travel Services to drive sustained adoption. What You'll Need Relevant experience: 3–5 years of experience in analytics, strategy, growth, operations, or a data-adjacent role within a technology or e-commerce company. Strong business curiosity: You take the time to understand how the business operates, what drives performance, and what the data means before drawing conclusions. SQL proficiency: Basic-to-intermediate SQL skills, with the ability to extract, join, and validate data from data warehouses. Advanced analytical-tool proficiency: Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and structured analysis. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau is a plus. High numerical sensitivity: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and data-quality issues. Structured analytical thinking: Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to move from data to insights to clear, actionable recommendations. Practical AI experience: You already use AI tools in your day-to-day work and can clearly explain what works, what does not, and how non-technical teammates can benefit from them. Clear communication and stakeholder management: You are comfortable writing executive summaries, presenting recommendations, guiding teammates through new tools, and navigating ambiguity in a matrixed environment.
