About the Role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Legal Associate to join our legal and compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified lawyer or a lawyer with up to one year of post-qualification experience to work alongside experienced Singapore-qualified legal counsel supporting clients across a range of regulated industries and jurisdictions. The role offers broad exposure to legal and compliance matters, including regulatory, licensing, commercial and day-to-day legal advisory work. You will be part of a collaborative and collegiate team that values professional development, practical problem-solving and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Support legal counsel on a wide range of legal and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions. Assist with regulatory and licensing projects, including preparing applications, submissions and supporting documentation. Conduct legal and regulatory research and prepare summaries, memoranda and client-facing advice. Review, draft and assist with negotiation of commercial agreements and related legal documentation. Support ongoing business-as-usual legal and compliance activities, including policy reviews, governance matters and internal advisory work. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist with implementation of regulatory changes. Liaise with internal stakeholders, external counsel and regulatory bodies as required. Contribute to the delivery of practical, commercially focused legal advice to clients operating in regulated environments. Requirements Singapore-qualified lawyer. Newly qualified (NQ) to 1 year post-qualification experience (PQE). Strong academic credentials and legal drafting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Preferred Experience Prior experience in corporate, regulatory, compliance or financial services-related matters would be advantageous. Exposure to regulated industries or transactional work is beneficial but not essential. We are open to candidates from a variety of legal backgrounds. More important than specific prior experience is a genuine interest in developing expertise in legal and regulatory advisory work, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn from experienced practitioners.
