About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements within a dynamic financial services environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders while providing critical support for internal financial operations and decision-making across the group. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Review management accounts, statutory financial statements, and variance analysis in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) Support and review statutory audits, corporate tax returns, BAS/GST filings , and regulatory reporting Ensure the finance function operates in full compliance with ASIC , ATO , and other applicable Australian regulations Perform daily client money reconciliations (where applicable) and investigate any discrepancies in line with regulatory requirements Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, expense claims, and supporting schedules External Liaison & Stakeholder Management Act as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies Guide and review work performed by external accountants, consultants, or shared service teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions and operational alignment Keep the line manager and the group informed of all relevant matters Operational Excellence Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, internal controls, and systems Provide support across the group as required to ensure operational efficiency What We’re Looking For Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in financial reporting and regulatory submissions. Experience in an ASIC-regulated environment or within brokerage, CFD, FX, or trading environments is a significant advantage Education & Professional Qualification: CA (ANZ), CPA Australia , or equivalent preferred, though candidates with relevant experience will also be considered Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems / ERP (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, SAP) Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of AASB standards, GST, BAS, and Australian corporate tax requirements Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Languages: Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English to support our international operations What We Offer Attractive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Flexible working hours Ongoing training and development opportunities Exposure to exciting projects that support career growth and professional development
