DGM/GM - Safety(API)

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across the API manufacturing facility. Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, statutory regulations, and EHS guidelines . Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, SOPs, and safe work practices. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, HAZOP, and incident investigations , ensuring timely CAPA implementation. Drive emergency preparedness, fire safety, contractor safety, and disaster management programs. Lead safety training, employee engagement initiatives, and foster a strong safety culture. Monitor EHS performance, statutory compliance, and present safety metrics to plant leadership. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Projects to ensure safe plant operations. Support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with national and international EHS standards. Required Skills: ✔ Strong experience in EHS & Industrial Safety within API/Bulk Drug manufacturing. ✔ Sound knowledge of Factories Act, OSHA, statutory compliance, HAZOP, Risk Assessment, and Fire Safety . ✔ Experience in handling regulatory inspections, audits, and emergency response systems . ✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
