What you´ll do The Environmental Specialist is responsible for all aspects of Environmental and Sustainability for the St. Louise plant. Environmental Specialist is the leader and point of contact for internal, external, regulatory audits. Report Environmental statistics data to Global SHE on monthly basis Prepare and manage the related documents about the environment in accordance with Henkel global regulations, local regulations and laws. Prepare and send quarterly wastewater reports to MSD. Monitor and ensure permit limits are maintained. Implement the work environment measurement, the self-inspection of air emission and wastewater discharge facilities and the emergency training. Secure SDS (MSDS) for chemicals used in the laboratory, ensure the appropriateness of chemical storages, and understand and manage information related to the health, safety, and environment. Investigate environmental accidents/incidents using participative root cause analysis techniques and develop appropriate responses to prevent recurrence. Achieve full compliance with regulatory and Henkel Environmental standards by directly supporting facility staff with policies, procedures, work instructions and training. Oversight of Process Safety Management (PSM) management program Leverages environmental best practices and manages all related regulatory and compliance issues. Acts as Site “Dangerous Goods/Chemicals” Safety Advisor (DGSA) Responsible for sustainability roadmap to drive Energy, Water and Waste improvement
