Director - ION Lab - Deep Tech Center (M/F)

This is an operations, partnerships, and program-leadership role. As Director, you will own the international scale-up of the ION Management Science Lab, working directly with its directors, Professors Thomas Astebro and Carlos Serrano. The Lab does academic research on the role of mentorship. It collects and analyzes data to understand mentorship’s impact on performance and innovation, bridging academia, industry, and non-profits while disseminating actionable insights. Our initial focus is entrepreneurship, and we will expand across other settings over time. You will meet with venture incubators and accelerators across the world and negotiate agreements with them. You will design the data capture, work processes and workflows to collect data, and you will oversee the delivery of reports and tools to our partners . You will manage the team that visits partners to collect data, and oversee their training and instruction. You will coordinate closely with the te am leader of the software and AI engineering team . Responsibilities International Partnerships and Negotiations: You will lead the establishment of partnerships with incubators and accelerators across the world . You should be skilled at negotiation in an international setting and at the legal aspects, including GDPR and general business contracting. You will be supported by our team of legal and compliance experts, but you must be able to quickly draft MOUs and skeletons of full agreements. Partner Workflow Knowledge: Develop detailed, working knowledge of partner workflows, including AirTable, Salesforce, and manual processes, and design how meeting and workflow data are recorded, collected, and stored. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the team that visits venture incubators and accelerators to perform the data collection. Work directly with the teams and personnel at partners to embed the data-collection workflows in their operations. Coordinate with the team leader of the software and AI engineering team. Business development: project management, legal and cost control. Thought Leadership: Publish blog posts and white papers on ION Management Science Lab Paris activities; present at conferences or internal seminars.
