Job Description Position Title Senior - Application Engineer JOB SUMMARY (Primary purpose of the position.) This is a Senior level Application Engineer position responsible for development, implementation, support and optimization of the MEDITECH Magic EHR NPR (Non-Procedural Reporting) reports and extracts, and Expanse extract conversion across ~170 HCA hospitals. MEDITECH Magic provides a proprietary NPR report writing tool for creating customized reports. MEDITECH Expanse data is in a SQL database and standard tools are used for report writing. This role will have a dotted line reporting structure to the ITG Manager of MEDITECH Reporting collaborating with multiple team members. The main functions of this role are: - Using the MEDITECH NPR report writer tool to create and modify reports and extracts - Review, escalate and resolve issues reported by internal team and hospital team - Strong understanding of how data is stored in MEDITECH Magic and how to navigate data dictionaries GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES ( The essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position including interactions with other departments and outside vendors, if applicable, in PRIORITY order.) · Provide hands-on technical leadership for the analysis, implementation, and support of MEDITECH NPR Reports and extracts, and Expanse Power BI. · Lead the analysis, implementation, and support of solutions to meet Promoting Interoperability regulatory requirements. · Work independently and collaboratively with project teams to define requirements, design functional solutions, identify and resolve issues, ensuring IT solutions meet business objectives. · Author and analyze MEDITECH Product Work Request ensuring specifications are clearly documented and submitted. Build and maintain positive relationships with business operations, IT&S leadership, and vendors · Provides training to junior level members on the team regarding interface functionality · Provide routine support and maintenance for reports and extracts Identify and resolve problems and issues · Seasoned verbal and written communication skills · Follows change management process · Document solutions and best practice guidelines, maintains documentation as product evolves · Address and provide operational support as needed and On-call responsibilities RELEVANT WORK ( Minimum amount of specifically related experience which is required to perform the role at this level.
