Access Coordinator JOB INFORMATION Job Title Name: Access Coordinator HCA India Grade / Level : Associate I I JOB PURPOSE The Access Coordinator Associate II performs advanced Identity and Access Management operational activities, including provisioning, role administration, troubleshooting, and access governance support. This position independently manages complex access requests, mentors junior team members, and partners with business units, application owners, and security teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient user access across enterprise systems. The Associate II serves as a subject matter resource for IAM operational processes and contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives. The Access Coordinator is responsible for using u ser access tools ( IAM/ IGA Tools) and other processes to provision accounts as necessary in a timely manner and to provide reports on user access or provide decision support data based on system usage . They will be required to continually expand knowledge of current and upcoming products within the realm of access management and information protection. They will be required to update and distribute reference information accordingly. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Operational Support ( 100 %): Independently work on provisions, modifies, and removes user access across enterprise applications and security platforms. Administers and maintains role-based access controls (RBAC), ensuring appropriate role assignments and segregation of duties. Coordinates complex provisioning activities involving multiple IAM teams, application owners, and business stakeholders. Reviews and validates access requests for policy compliance, appropriate approvals, and regulatory requirements. Serves as the primary Tier II escalation resource for complex user access incidents and access-related troubleshooting. Investigates and resolves advanced identity, authentication, and authorization issues. Assists in access governance initiatives including role reviews, access certifications, audit support, and compliance reporting. Identifies process improvement opportunities and recommends workflow enhancements to improve operational efficiency. Develops and updates IAM documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures. Provides guidance and mentoring to Associate team members on IAM processes and best practices. Delivers education and consultation to division leadership, application owners, Service Desks, and business partners regarding IAM policies and security practices. Collaborates with Information Security, Compliance, HR, and Infrastructure teams to support identity lifecycle management. Participates in testing new applications, IAM integrations, and process changes prior to production deployment. Supports internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of access controls. Participates in after-hours and on-call support rotations. Continuously expands expertise in IAM technologies, healthcare regulations, cybersecurity standards, and emerging identity solutions. Adheres to organizational IT&S standards, security policies, Code of Conduct, Mission and Values, and confidentiality requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Flexible with shifts 6am to 3pm; 2pm to 11pm and 10pm to 7am JOB SPECIFICATIONS Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Y ears of E xperience : 2–5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, Systems Administration, or Healthcare IT. Experience administering enterprise IAM platforms, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar identity management technologies preferred. Experience supporting access governance, audits, or compliance activities preferred. Skills and Capabilities Details Technical Skills Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management lifecycle processes (Joiner, Mover, Leaver). Working knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), least privilege, and segregation of duties. Experience troubleshooting authentication, authorization, and account provisioning issues. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA and access control standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple work items in a fast-paced environment. Ability to mentor team members and contribute to process improvements. Experience working with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, CyberArk, Okta, or similar platforms is preferred. Vendor supports engagement and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, SOX). Proficiency with desktop and productivity tools. Soft Skills Strong communication skills (mandatory). Effective coordination across groups. Self-motivated and independent worker. Customer focus – takes ownership of issues and sees them through to resolution.
