About The Role

Job Summary Employees in this position work under close supervision and are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas of academic and administrative buildings. Duties also include assisting with the maintenance of assigned grounds and performing all assigned custodial tasks. This postion will be required to work second shift. This position requires the flexibility to work any shift or schedule. Overtime may be required as needed. Facilities employees may also be required to report to work during emergency closures or inclement weather to perform essential operations, including snow and ice removal. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures preferred. • Ability to understand and use the materials and equipment used in custodial work. • Ability to follow simple instructions. • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others.
